Oxidative stress plays an important role in various diseases and aging.   The control of oxidative stress is expected to be useful to prevent diseases and aging.   Oxidative stress is caused by the imbalance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antioxidant defense systems.   For accurate assessment of oxidative stress, measurement of ROS, oxidative damage, and antioxidant activity may be essential.

 

Applicable for the assessment of total antioxidants in serum, food, and beverage samples.

Arrays of Possibilities: Adipokines

Adipose tissue is no longer viewed as an passive energy storage depot. A wide range of cell-cell communicators are expressed by adipocytes, collectively called adipokines. Increasingly, adipokines are being studied in relation to obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.  Click here for more details

 

RayBiotech arrays have been instrumental in characterizing adipokine biology. For example, Maury, et al. (Am J Physiol Endocrinol Metab 293: E656-E665, 2007.), from the University of Louvain (Brussels, Belgium), used our Human C1000 Cytokine Antibody Array to identify six novel adipokines in the secretome of human omental (visceral) adiopose tissue.

Mouse Bone-Related Gene Array
   * Genosco's Mouse Bone-related Gene Expression Array is a positively charged nylon membrane on which bone-related genes (cDNA) are fixed.
   * Osteoblast-related cDNA array (Cat NO. OCA001) contains 23 different cloned cDNAs on a positively charged nylon membrane.
   * Osteoclast-related cDNA array (Cat No. OCA002) contains 13 different cloned cDNAs on a positively charged nylon membrane.
   * In addition, two positive control “housekeeping genes”, two negative controls (vector and TE buffer) are included on each array.
